Hello! I’m currently studying for a BA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance. I achieved an A* in A Level Mathematics which demonstrates my solid grasp of the subject. Over the last 5 years, I have had the opportunity to teach a diverse range of students across various age groups and learning levels. I tailor my teaching methods to suit each individual’s learning style, encourage questions, and view mistakes as opportunities for growth. I aim to foster a supportive and engaging environment that empowers my tutees to thrive and confidently achieve their goals. During my tutoring sessions, I strive to create a productive experience for both my tutee and myself. The initial session is devoted to establishing rapport and collaboratively developing a future agenda. Lessons generally commence with a review of previously covered material, followed by a focus on either content or exam. When presenting a topic, I employ a methodical approach, breaking down information into small, digestible steps. My teaching is anchored in the relevant learning objectives of the curriculum, and I place significant emphasis on ensuring that my lessons are engaging and interactive to maintain tutee involvement. To boost long-term retention, I provide a diverse range of questions. At the conclusion of each session, I assign homework, either based on prior discussion or at the request of the tutee. I understand how important it is to provide open and honest feedback so I will be onboard with this. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing my students understand, gain confidence, and achieve their academic goals.
