About Naomi

We focus on the nuance of staccato bowing to bring your repertoire to life. Advanced learners appreciate my BMus training which informs every correction I offer. I monitor your posture closely to prevent strain and build long-term endurance. Vibrato is treated as a natural extension of your expression rather than a mechanical gimmick.
You will receive free bowing and posture reference notes after each lesson to keep your practice focused at home. These materials provide a visual guide for the concepts we explore together. Every detail is tracked so you can focus on the music. I look forward to hearing your progress in our next meeting.

Graduating with a BMus from the UBC School of Music established the rigorous foundation I use to support your growth. I have spent 13 years refining a methodology that balances technical precision with expressive clarity. You will find my approach is structured to handle the demands of formal examinations.
I teach students ranging from kids to advanced learners. My 13 years in the studio mean I have seen nearly every technical roadblock a violinist can face. I have taught countless students how to navigate the complexities of posture and hold. Left hand agility and shifting positions are core components of my instruction.
I integrate music theory and scales into every session to ensure a complete understanding of the instrument. I am ready to guide your progress.
