About Rowan
I am an enthusiastic and patient Piano tutor with 14 years of experience teaching students at all skill levels. Over the years, I have successfully trained around 150 students, helping them improve technique, coordination, and musical awareness. My teaching philosophy focuses on clarity and consistency. Lessons are adapted to each student’s learning pace and goals. Beginners work on posture, rhythm, finger technique, and note reading. Intermediate and advanced students focus on coordination, expression, and performance skills. I integrate music theory, ear training, and sight-reading into lessons to build a strong musical foundation. I also encourage disciplined practice habits and self-improvement. My unique ability is motivating students while keeping lessons enjoyable and focused. I create a positive learning environment where students feel supported. My aim is to help students become confident pianists with a genuine love for music.

My approach to teaching Piano focuses on Adaptation to Learning Styles, Flexibility, Collaboration, and Positivity. I aim to make piano lessons structured, enjoyable, and effective for students of all levels.
I start with essential piano skills such as correct posture, finger placement, rhythm control, and note reading. These skills are practiced using simple explanations and demonstrations. As students advance, I introduce scales, chords, hand independence, and expressive techniques. Flexibility allows lessons to progress at a comfortable pace.
Collaboration helps students feel involved in their learning journey. I encourage questions and discussions during lessons. Students are guided in choosing songs they enjoy, which keeps them motivated. Practice routines are explained clearly to support improvement at home.
Positivity shapes my teaching environment. I motivate students with patience, encouragement, and constructive feedback. Mistakes are handled calmly and used for learning. In addition to piano lessons, I teach music theory basics, rhythm skills, ear training, and musical understanding. My goal is to help students grow into confident pianists.
