About Ágnes

I am a multilingual language teacher and linguist with a passion for languages and teaching. Since childhood, I have had a deep interest in different cultures and literature, and I have a natural talent for languages, which has driven my career in this field. I was honoured to win a gold medal in languages twice in the all-country student competition in Hungary. In the corporate world, I've taught business English to professionals in various companies, and was serving as a private tutor to the CEO of a major company in Pecs, where I tailored lessons to meet the high demands of his role. Each of these experiences has enriched my teaching practice. Teaching Hungarian is not just about language acquisition. My background in history, literature, and art allows me to enrich students' learning experience, making it both comprehensive and deeply engaging. My students not only master the language but also develop a profound connection to Hungary's captivating culture and its warm-hearted people.

About the lesson

I am Agnes, a multilingual language teacher and linguist. I started teaching languages during my university studies. This year, I celebrate my 25th year in teaching Hungarian, English, and Russian. My journey began as a full-time tutor in language schools, later I operated my own language school successfully in Hungary, before I moved to the UK. Over the past 25 years, I have been teaching languages to a diverse array of students, ranging from enthusiastic children to dedicated adults, aged 7 to 70. My background in linguistics has given me a profound understanding of language structure and function. I recognise and address the challenges students face when learning Hungarian, I teach language in depth and with clear explanations. Through my holistic approach, while learning the language, I take my students on a journey to explore the rich culture and stunning sites of Hungary and they get an insight into the rich culture and vibrant everyday life of Hungarians. I have prepared dozens of students for international language exams and university entrance exams. I give lessons in person in Birmingham and Walsall area or online, through a preferred site. I use course books supplemented with lesson plans collected and developed by myself. I am committed to guiding you on this journey of learning the beautiful Hungarian language, whether you prefer conversational or business language. Let's embark on this exciting journey together!
