About Nancy
"Tension often prevents a student from achieving a truly resonant tone. Proper technique requires a relaxed body, which is the exact opposite of what most beginners instinctively do when holding the violin for the first time. I rely on my 13 years of experience to correct intonation and shifting positions early on. We focus on tuning by ear to build a strong internal sense of pitch.
Grade exam candidates find that systematic work on rhythm and left hand agility creates immediate progress. These sessions emphasize the joy of orchestral playing through careful preparation. I monitor your progress to ensure that you are developing healthy habits that will last a lifetime. My goal is to maintain a supportive atmosphere during our work together."

"Playing music feels like an extension of my own breath, a realization I reached while completing my MMus at Université Laval Faculté de musique. My years spent in the Conservatoire taught me that the instrument is simply a vessel for expression.
I find myself constantly drawing upon this classical training when guiding teens and absolute beginners through the complexities of bowing. Having supported 162 students, I see the unique challenges that every grade exam candidate faces on their path to proficiency. I value the way that cultural context informs every piece we study together, turning technical practice into a deeper artistic inquiry.
It is rewarding to see learners grow into confident performers who respect the heritage of the music. What goals are you setting for your practice this year?"
