About Irene
You will start by playing a simple blues progression during our first meeting. I assess your current skill level with reading tabs and sheet music.
We then tackle acoustic technique or electric lead guitar depending on your personal interests. My BM Popular Music degree from the Université de Montreal ensures that our technical work is grounded in music theory.
I provide free chord charts and tab sheets shared after each class. You leave every session with a clear path forward for your practice. This structure supports both absolute beginners and intermediate learners.

You deserve a guide who simplifies the guitar. My teaching path began because I wanted to share the joy of folk styles and blues progressions. I have worked with 107 students to improve their acoustic and electric technique.
You will find that reading sheet music and tabs becomes much easier when we break it down. I focus on fingerpicking and lead guitar improvisation.
You might be an absolute beginner or an intermediate learner looking for a specific sound. My method emphasizes the groove above everything else. I enjoy helping performance-focused students find their unique voice on the instrument.
