About Penelope
I began my journey in architecture with a deep interest in how spaces affect human behavior and emotions. This led me to complete my Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, where I explored design principles, urban planning, and sustainable thinking. Over the past 7 years, I have worked closely with students to help them understand architecture in a simple and practical way.
My teaching style is calm, patient, and structured. I believe every student learns differently, so I adjust my approach based on their pace and comfort level. I focus on breaking complex ideas into small, easy steps so learners can build confidence gradually. Whether it is sketching, planning, or concept development, I guide students with clarity and encouragement.
Outside teaching, I stay connected with design trends and continue exploring new ideas through reading and sketching. This helps me bring fresh perspectives into my lessons. Teaching architecture is meaningful to me because I see students grow from unsure beginners into confident thinkers. I aim to help every learner develop both creativity and discipline in their design journey.

Architecture becomes meaningful when students begin to see spaces as living experiences rather than static drawings. In my lessons, I focus on helping learners understand how light, movement, proportion, and human interaction shape every design decision. We begin with simple observation exercises where students learn to analyze buildings, streets, and everyday environments. This builds a strong base before moving into sketching, layout planning, and conceptual thinking. I keep the pace steady and supportive so learners feel comfortable exploring ideas without pressure.
As students progress, I introduce structured methods to develop their creativity with purpose. We work on floor plans, elevations, and basic 3D understanding using simple tools and guided techniques. I explain how materials, structure, and environment influence design outcomes. Each lesson includes practical tasks where students apply what they learn immediately. This helps them build confidence and see clear improvement over time.
My goal is to help learners think independently and express ideas clearly through design. Students develop patience, observation skills, and creative discipline. Over time, they begin to approach design challenges with clarity and confidence. I support them in building a strong foundation that prepares them for academic success and creative growth in architecture.
