About Yara
I am a dedicated piano tutor with 6 years of experience helping students master jazz piano concepts. My academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Musicology (Piano History), which supports my understanding of jazz and classical traditions. My lessons focus on improvisation, comping patterns, and harmonic exploration.
Students learn to recognize complex chords and create melodic improvisations. I teach jazz theory, ear training, transcription, and rhythmic accuracy. These elements help students connect theory with practical performance. Creativity and musical curiosity are always encouraged.

My piano teaching approach focuses on helping students grow both technically and creatively. I guide learners through important fundamentals such as finger technique, chords, rhythm, and musical expression. These skills form the base for songwriting and composition. Students learn how to compose melodies and combine them with supportive harmonies.
I also teach how to design strong intros, develop musical themes, and finish pieces with effective endings. Lessons explore chord progressions and song structure in a clear and simple way. Creativity is encouraged, but always supported with musical understanding. This helps students develop organized musical ideas.
For learners who use music as a way to express feelings, lessons provide a relaxed and supportive space. I also work with students who enjoy exploring advanced harmonies and improvisational thinking influenced by jazz piano. Each lesson builds musical awareness and confidence. Students gradually learn to turn ideas into full piano compositions. Over time their creativity becomes stronger and more refined.
