About Katie
I've been teaching art and history for over ten years. I teach at a local art college, non-profit organizations, and offer one-on-one or group sessions. I teach groups from the Autism Society, and have helped many of its participants "come out of their shell," and learn to express themselves more accurately.
I have been an English tutor for about five years, and can cover any topic such as fiction, non-fiction, or poetry. I also help students and adults out with grammar, diction, style, essay writing, etc. This helped many people improve their skills and make better grades.

I cater the lesson to each individual or group's needs and skill level. I try to get a sense of what each person wants or needs to work on. Then we go over some examples, and analyze the relevant concerns in their paper. I'm working on a Master's in Creative Writing, and I've helped many undergrads improve their paper structure, subject matter, and style skills.
I take a very similar approach with my art tutoring, only in different disciplines. I've also taught people who aren't familiar with certain techniques or materials how to use them properly, and they leave the lessons comfortable working with them.
