About Adesewa

Hi! I'm Adesewa Adefarakan, an aspiring lawyer and tutor with a deep love for language, critical thinking, and justice. I specialize in tutoring English and Introductory Law for middle and high school students, helping them grow in confidence, academic skill, and real-world understanding. As someone currently studying Criminology, Criminal Justice, and Psychology, I bring academic knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for learning to every session. About the lesson

As a tutor, I believe in creating a student-centered, interactive learning environment that builds both confidence and academic skill. I tailor each session to the learner's pace and preferred learning style, whether visual, auditory, or kinesthetic. My approach includes: Scaffolded Learning: Breaking down complex concepts into manageable steps and gradually building toward independent understanding. Socratic Method (especially for Law): Encouraging critical thinking through questioning to help students understand reasoning, argumentation, and evidence evaluation. Literary Analysis and Writing Workshops (for English): Helping students develop thesis-driven essays, interpret texts deeply, and strengthen their grammar and vocabulary. Real-World Application: Relating legal and literary concepts to current events, pop culture, or case studies to keep learning relevant and engaging.
