About Joshua
Hi, I’m Josh. I’m currently studying A-level French and German, and I have a real passion for languages. I achieved a Grade 9 in GCSE French, which I completed a year early, and I also achieved a Grade 9 in GCSE German.
I enjoy helping others improve and build confidence in languages, especially speaking, which I know many students find challenging. Having recently gone through GCSEs myself, I understand exactly what examiners are looking for and how to achieve top grades.

My lessons are focused on helping students feel confident and well-prepared for the GCSE French speaking exam. I tailor each session to the student’s level and target grade, whether they are aiming to pass or achieve a top grade (7–9).
I also focus on improving pronunciation, fluency, and spontaneity, while building a strong range of vocabulary and high-level phrases to access the top marks. Lessons are interactive and supportive, with plenty of speaking practice in a relaxed environment to build confidence.
I provide tips and techniques that helped me achieve a Grade 9, including how to structure answers, extend responses, and avoid common mistakes. I can also set optional practice between lessons if the student wants to progress more quickly.
