About Saira
Hello! My name is Saira, and I am a seasoned tutor specialising in Math and English, with a strong focus on helping students achieve their best in NAPLAN assessments. With almost 30 years of experience in education, I have worked extensively with students from various year levels to strengthen their foundational skills in both literacy and numeracy. My 15 years of tutoring goes beyond rote learning, focusing on fostering a deep understanding of key concepts while honing critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
In Math, I cover areas such as number operations, measurement, geometry, and data interpretation, ensuring students are confident across all strands of the NAPLAN syllabus. For English, I provide structured guidance in reading comprehension, grammar, spelling, and writing, including narrative, persuasive, and informative text types, which are crucial components of the exam.
I take pride in crafting personalized learning plans that target each student’s strengths and areas for improvement. By using NAPLAN-style questions, past papers, and test-taking strategies, I help students become familiar with the format of the assessments and develop the skills to manage their time effectively.
