About Joud

Bonjour ! I’m Joud, a passionate and experienced French tutor dedicated to helping students feel confident, capable, and excited about learning French. Whether you're just starting out or looking to polish your skills, I’m here to guide you with patience, encouragement, and a clear learning path. I’m a fluent French speaker with an academic background in teaching and communication, and I’ve worked with learners from a variety of backgrounds. My lessons are customized to your level, interests, and goals, so you always feel supported and engaged. What sets me apart is my commitment to making French practical and enjoyable. I bring cultural insights, real-life applications, and a lot of positive energy into every session. You’ll learn to think in French, not just translate, and you’ll see your confidence grow with every class. I believe everyone can learn French with the right support. Let’s start your journey today—à bientôt !

About the lesson

My teaching approach is rooted in the communicative and immersive method—prioritizing real-world conversation, listening, and contextual learning over rote memorization. I blend structured grammar and vocabulary instruction with fun, practical language use. My sessions are highly interactive and adapted to each student's pace and goals. I use: - Role-playing and dialogues for conversational practice - Visual aids, flashcards, and games for vocabulary retention - Cultural materials (videos, music, articles) to expose students to authentic French A Typical Lesson Plan (1 Hour Session) Each lesson is structured yet flexible. If you have a specific goal you would like to work towards (e.g. exam, assignments, etc), feel free to let me know and I will adapt my sessions accordingly. - Warm-Up (5–10 min): Quick recap of the last lesson Daily French speaking prompt ("Comment tu te sens aujourd’hui?") - Core Concept (20–25 min): Introduction to new grammar or vocabulary (e.g., reflexive verbs, travel phrases); Contextual examples and interactive explanations; Quick exercises or oral practice - Interactive Practice (20 min): Role-play, conversation, or real-life simulation; Listening or reading comprehension activity based on level - Wrap-Up & Homework (5 min): Recap of key takeaways; Short practice challenge (journal entry, voice memo, flashcard deck)
