About Georgia

I studied Spanish at A-Level, receiving a grade A (my exams would have been during the coronavirus lockdown) and have Grade 8/9 GCSEs in French and Spanish. I have been leaning Spanish myself for eight years, and although I am not completely fluent in the language, I am well equipped to help students improve their written and spoken language. Last year, I was lucky enough to spend a week in the city of Málaga, in Andalucía. There, I stayed with a Spanish family and attended the language school in the city. I found this to be a fantastic experience, and showed me the potential that a second language can give you. Although I do not have many years' tutoring experience, I have been working as a qualified swimming teacher for the last five and a half years, and so really love the rewarding nature of working with children.

About the lesson

I try to bring a positive atmosphere to lessons, as I know how challenging learning a second language can be. As a teacher, I believe I am approachable and understanding, and although I do not have many years of experience, I have been working as a part time swimming teacher for five and a half years. This means that I can empathise with my students, am able to plan lessons, and am able to teach in a fun and effective way! Since I am still studying, I feel that I can relate to some of the experiences that students are going through, and hopefully offer some reassurance! I really try to tailor each session to the student, so that I can help them effectively. I am super flexible, and am happy to work on writing, grammar, vocabulary, listening, reading and speaking.
