About Tejas
I am a current University of Melbourne undergraduate student (Finance & Actuarial) who completed the IBDP program in May 2025 from Singapore achieving 7s in all my higher level subjects.
I want to become a tutor because I really enjoy helping students with concepts or other problems they might be facing as I probably underwent the same things not very long ago and it can truly be overwhelming.
Tutoring is something I am passionate about and something I want to pursue further so I think this would be a great stepping stone.

My focus while teaching is making sure that the student understands the concept thoroughly rather than memorizing, especially in fields like Economics where each scenario needs to be approached differently rather than applying a fixed solution. I make sure to keep the lessons as interactive as possible as I believe this facilitates learning.
I have little experience in tutoring, but I am super passionate about it and it is something I am considering pursuing so I think this will be a great stepping stone while also helping students with the problems they face as I likely underwent the same problems not very long ago!
I can teach both IBDP year 1 and year 2 in Economics, Business Management and Maths AI. I achieved a score of 7 in all these subjects in May 2025 exam session.
