About Eloise

I am a native French speaker and a qualified French teacher with experience teaching online. I currently give French lessons and have previously helped a Japanese learner become fluent in both spoken and written French. Seeing a student grow in confidence and use the language independently is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching for me.

I hold the DAEFLE (Diplôme d’aptitude à l’enseignement du français langue étrangère), a specialized qualification in teaching French as a foreign language, developed by the Alliance Française de Paris with the CNED. This comprehensive training prepares teachers to work with a wide range of learners in different educational settings. It covers lesson planning, teaching methods, language skills and assessing students’ progress.

As a violinist and pianist, I also enjoy bringing music and songs into my lessons. They offer an engaging way to practice pronunciation, discover new vocabulary and become familiar with the rhythm of French.

My approach is patient, encouraging and tailored to each student. Whether you are starting from scratch or developing existing skills, I take the time to understand your goals and prepare lessons that help you move forward. You can expect clear explanations, thoughtful preparation and a welcoming atmosphere where you feel comfortable asking questions.

About the lesson

I adapt my French lessons to your level, interests and goals. Whether you want to feel more comfortable speaking, improve your writing or build a stronger foundation, we work at a pace that suits you. I use conversation, practical exercises and everyday situations to help you put what you learn into practice.

A typical lesson starts with a short conversation and a review of what we have covered. We then focus on a topic or skill, such as pronunciation, vocabulary or grammar, followed by guided practice. At the end, we review the main points and discuss what to work on next.

As a native French speaker with a DAEFLE qualification—a specialized qualification in teaching French as a foreign language developed by the Alliance Française de Paris with the CNED—I bring both language knowledge and teaching skills to my lessons. I currently teach French and have experience tutoring online, including helping a Japanese learner develop confidence in speaking and writing.

My lessons are open to children, teenagers and adults, from beginners to more advanced learners. I aim to create a welcoming space where you can ask questions, make mistakes and enjoy learning.
