About Natalie
Placing the bow on the string correctly is the first step toward a beautiful tone. We spend time analyzing your sight reading while ensuring your posture remains relaxed. I find that self-taught players often have specific gaps in their technique that we can bridge during our time together. I offer a clear perspective on how to tackle difficult passages in the classical repertoire.
We will discuss the musicality behind the notes rather than just the mechanics. Sometimes we focus on the subtle shifting of positions to make your playing feel effortless.
It is rewarding to watch a student finally master a complex piece. You will notice significant improvements in your intonation after just a few sessions. My goal is to make your practice sessions productive and meaningful.

I have spent 5 years guiding 326 students through the complexities of orchestral playing and solo repertoire. My foundation at the Conservatoire de Montreal provides a rigid technical framework for every pupil.
I possess a BMus from UdeM which shapes how I approach intonation and left hand agility. Consistent practice requires a clear roadmap for shifting positions and double stops. I often assist working professionals who need to maximize their limited practice hours. My methods ensure that posture and hold are addressed early to prevent strain.
Every scale and arpeggio serves a specific purpose in building your internal ear. I know exactly how to guide you toward a more nuanced sound. You will gain control over your instrument through my rigorous instruction.
