About Myrtle
Classical repertoire, rhythm and timing, orchestral playing, and double stops are key areas I cover daily. You are getting a coach who has spent 13 years on stage and in the studio before dedicating my full time to instruction.
My lessons often involve working on posture and hold, ear training, grade exam prep for ABRSM or Trinity, music theory, and spiccato or staccato bowing. Having taught 287 students, I find that teaching keeps me as sharp as my own practice. I really enjoy helping people develop their own voice on the instrument.

Starting with a diagnostic assessment allows me to map out a clear practice plan for your individual journey. It feels like we are detective partners searching for the exact physical adjustment needed to fix a stubborn intonation issue. My 6.0 scale approach ensures we isolate technical hurdles without losing the joy of playing. Technique is just a tool.
This structure keeps our work focused on long term development rather than just quick fixes. I promise that our sessions remain grounded in musicality.
