About Rimsha
Aerospace Engineering graduate and Design Engineer with over 8 years of experience tutoring GCSE Maths. I enjoy helping students overcome challenges, build confidence, and realise that they are capable of achieving more than they thought possible! Seeing students progress and reach their target grades is what motivates me to teach. I am an experienced and friendly GCSE Maths tutor with over 8 years of experience, helping students build confidence, strengthen understanding, and achieve target grades. I have successfully supported students of a wide range of abilities, whether they need help passing their exams, improving grades, or aiming for the highest marks.
I studied Aerospace Engineering at university and have experience as a Design Engineer since, giving me a strong mathematical background.
My teaching approach is structured and tailored. I begin by identifying areas of strength and improvement, then create lessons accordingly, and always incorporating exam-style questions. I encourage students to explain their thinking, helping them develop confidence and problem-solving skills.
Lessons typically last 60 minutes, although longer sessions can be arranged if required. Each lesson includes a review of previous topics, clear explanations of new concepts, guided practice, and independent problem-solving. I also focus on exam technique - how to answer efficiently and avoid common mistakes.
I tutor students studying GCSE Maths, both higher and foundation levels. I offer both online and in-person tuition, but do find students often benefit most from face-to-face interaction and support.
My goal is to create a relaxed, supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, gain confidence, and ultimately feel prepared and ready for their GCSE exams.
