  • When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?

My passion for music began when I was around six years old. On weekends, my mom would play old vinyl jazz records, and I would sit completely mesmerized by the rhythm, soul, and emotion in the music. It was the piano, though, that truly stole my heart the depth, the color, the storytelling in every note drew me in and never let go.
  • What makes you passionate about your subject?

Music to me is more than sound, it is emotion, communication, and imagination. Classical jazz, especially artists like Bill Evans, shaped the way I feel music: flowing like a river, unpredictable yet peaceful.

I am passionate about guiding others to find that same freedom, especially through improvisation and musical storytelling. It's not just theory or technique; it's emotional risk-taking, deep listening, and expressing what words can’t say.
  • What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a "Superprof"?

I love helping students fall in love with music. Each student brings a unique voice and story, and my approach is completely personalized. I teach through storytelling, movement, visuals, and humor celebrating every step forward and turning mistakes into learning opportunities.

I don’t just teach notes; I teach confidence, creativity, and connection to music. My goal is always to create a supportive, inspiring environment where each student feels seen, understood, and excited to explore.
  • Do you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you? Please explain.

Absolutely, if I could sit with three musical role models, it would be:

Freddie Mercury — for his fearless creativity and the courage to push every artistic boundary.

Nina Simone — for her voice, her conviction, and her ability to turn emotion and struggle into powerful art.

Jacob Collier — for his genius understanding of harmony and his joyful, curious approach to music-making.

Each reminds me that music is passion, bravery, and honesty.
  • What are your keys to success?

    Consistency, curiosity, and connection.
I practice regularly, I never stop learning, and I always listen not only to the music, but to the person behind it.

Success in music and teaching comes from heart, growth, and a willingness to explore. When you stay open, supportive, and passionate, progress follows for both teacher and student.
