About Haven

With a Bachelor of Music in Classical Piano and over 10 years of teaching experience, I offer heartfelt piano lessons that go beyond technique. My approach embraces an intergenerational style—welcoming siblings learning together, parent-child duets, and retirees rediscovering the joy of music. Each lesson is thoughtfully designed to support memory, coordination, and lifelong creativity.

Music becomes a shared journey in my studio, where every student is valued and every milestone is celebrated. I’ve seen how a simple melody can spark connection, and how practicing together brings families closer. Whether you're a beginner or returning to the keys after years, I tailor each session to your pace and passion.

Lessons are grounded in strong classical foundations, but always delivered with warmth and encouragement. We explore not just performance and theory, but the joy of expression. My students often say they feel part of a musical family and that’s exactly the goal.

About the lesson

My piano teaching approach is centered on helping each student find their unique voice at the keyboard. I focus on strong foundations in technique, reading, and rhythm, while also guiding students in classical phrasing, articulation techniques, and expressive dynamics. Lessons are tailored to fit different learning styles and goals—whether you're writing your own music or love playing your favorite pop songs.

I support creative learners by helping them turn musical ideas into full compositions, using theory and ear training as tools. For performance-focused students, I offer techniques to strengthen memory, reduce stage anxiety, and build confidence. We also explore tone control, pedal use, and emotional expression through repertoire.

I believe music should feel natural and enjoyable. So I use step-by-step strategies, clear demonstrations, and fun challenges to keep progress moving forward. Students are encouraged to ask questions, take creative risks, and reflect on their playing.
