About Zalina
"Have you ever wondered why your fingers feel stuck during a solo? During a first session, I look at where you are and where you want to go.
Whether you are a kid, an absolute beginner, or an intermediate learner, I provide a clear path through reading sheet music and grade exam prep. I lean on my 12 years of experience to make improvisation feel accessible rather than intimidating. We can explore everything from complex blues progressions to basic maintenance. "Sometimes I find that technical perfection matters less than finding your own distinct sound on the instrument. I earned my BA Musique populaire from UQAM and spent 12 years of experience refining my craft. My focus remains strictly on the groove of the music.
I bring extensive knowledge of fingerpicking, acoustic technique, and ear training to our sessions. I also help students with guitar maintenance and tuning. I promise to keep our sessions grounded in the music you actually care about playing."
