About Cappi
I am a BSc fresh graduate in Natural Sciences. I believe that tutoring is to spark interest in the subject within students, which can make learning the subject easier, and in the past I have met good tutors for me to interest me in the subjects taught too. The reason I pursued this degree was because I want to understand how things work in our natural world, and get the opportunity to solve complex problems. My studies have not only allowed me to further build my expertise on the subject, but also develop better organisation and communication skills to explain seemingly difficult concepts to others. I hope to pass the knowledge and passion to my students and help them achieve the success they desire through tutoring.

I tutor maths for students who are in secondary school. Many say that mathematics is hard to understand, but it all boils down to logic in the end. I believe that all of that could be understood intuitively, and I seek to help students in building such understanding.
As a tutor, the first lesson will be assessing the student's current knowledge on the subject, and finding out what they are stuck on. After that, I can help work out what they are stuck on, including homework assignments by breaking down the question step-by-step, on top of explaining how to apply the concepts needed for the questions. I would also explain examination techniques, so that students could know how to answer effectively to achieve good marks. Throughout my lessons, I would encourage discussions with my students to work out difficult problems together.
A typical lesson will be 1-2 hours weekly.
