About Jocelyn

I have a B.A. in ASL-English Interpreting and an M.Ed. in Deaf Education, with experience teaching and interpreting in a variety of settings. My approach to tutoring is straightforward and focused on clear, visual learning that respects Deaf culture and individual pacing. I create a relaxed environment where students can build skills at their own speed and feel comfortable asking questions. Outside of tutoring, I stay connected to the Deaf community, build Deaf Curriculum and continuously look for effective ways to support learners new to ASL. Whether you’re just starting or aiming to improve your communication with Deaf friends and family, I’m here to help you develop practical signing skills with confidence.

About the lesson

Join me for friendly, one‑on‑one Beginner ASL sessions where we start with fingerspelling, everyday signs, and vibrant Deaf‑culture insights—all in a comfortable space. I sign slowly and clearly, build in plenty of hands‑on practice, and give quick, encouraging feedback, so your confidence grows from the very first hello. With a B.A. in ASL‑English Interpreting and an M.Ed. in Deaf Education, I craft each lesson to your pace and interests, keeping learning visual, fun, and up lifting. By the end of every session, you’ll be ready to greet Deaf friends and chat with genuine ease and a big smile
