About GINA

Hello, I'm Gina. I believe every child deserves to feel confident, capable and excited about learning.

For several years, I've had the privilege of supporting children and families through my work as a Family Support Worker, Nursery Assistant and Wellbeing Adviser. These roles have given me a deep understanding of child development, emotional wellbeing and the importance of building strong, trusting relationships with both children and parents.

I understand that every child learns at their own pace. Some need extra reassurance, others need learning presented in a different way, and many simply need someone who believes in them. My aim is to create a calm, positive and encouraging environment where children feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes and celebrate every achievement, no matter how small.

I combine nurturing support with engaging, structured learning to help children develop not only their literacy and maths skills, but also their confidence, resilience and love of learning. I believe education should be enjoyable, meaningful and tailored to each individual child.

As a mum myself, I understand the challenges parents face when trying to support their child's learning alongside busy family life. That's why I work in partnership with families, providing personalised support that helps children flourish both academically and emotionally.

Seeing a child grow in confidence, discover their potential and become proud of what they can achieve is the most rewarding part of what I do, and I would be honoured to be part of your child's learning journey.

About the lesson

# About my lessons

Every child learns differently, which is why I create personalised, engaging lessons that are tailored to each child's individual needs, interests and learning style. My approach combines structured teaching with creativity, encouragement and patience, helping children develop confidence as well as academic skills.

I use a variety of techniques including phonics-based learning, games, storytelling, visual resources, practical activities and positive reinforcement to make learning enjoyable and meaningful. Rather than simply teaching children the answers, I encourage them to think independently, solve problems and develop a genuine love of learning.

A typical lesson lasts between **45 and 60 minutes**, depending on your child's age, attention span and learning goals. Every lesson includes a warm-up activity, focused learning, interactive practice and a fun recap so children leave feeling successful and motivated.

My background includes working as a **Family Support Worker**, **Nursery Assistant** and **Wellbeing Adviser**, supporting children and families with their emotional wellbeing, development and education. Through my **SoulfulSupport** approach, I believe children learn best when they feel safe, understood and encouraged. I work closely with parents to celebrate progress and build confidence both inside and outside the lesson.

My lessons are ideal for children in **Early Years (ages 3–5)** and **Key Stage 1 (ages 5–7)** who need support with phonics, early reading, writing, handwriting, spelling, maths, school readiness or simply want to build confidence in their learning.

Whether your child needs extra support, is preparing to start school, or would benefit from additional practice alongside the classroom, my goal is to make learning a positive, enjoyable experience that helps them thrive academically and emotionally.
