About Sohaib
Not every student can benefit from the teaching methods of schools with the large number of students in a class and limited attention from teachers. I believe a basic understanding of mathematics and the sciences is vital to every aspiring youth no matter what goals they wish to pursue as they get older. A passion in the sciences can open doors to all corners of academics and I believe a relaxing and personal environment can be much more beneficial than a stressful classroom environment where general methods of teaching that cater to the entire class may not be what a student needs. It can also inspire a greater sense of accomplishment when more focused and personal hardwork finally pays off. I started my teaching journey at a young age as the eldest of 4 siblings and as I could call myself a teacher to more and more students, I found it a desire of mine to to ensure young people get the knowledge they need to chase their passion.

I offer in-depth 1on1 hourly sessions that are sharp and efficient but not lacking in effectiveness. I will walkthrough curriculum concepts and practice questions within the hour and set tasks for the student to do between sessions. I will also help the student with any topics they need extra help with as well as any difficult homework questions set by their school. I will review past topics on occasion and set periodic tests to ensure nothing is forgotten. However, it is also within my ability to adapt my teaching style to the student if I find a different approach is better suited to them. I have experience as a freelance tutor by recommendation, teaching KS2, KS3 and KS4 although I also have the ability to teach A-level students. Any and all students from ages 5 to 18 can benefit from my services either as a home visit or by online zoom classes if desired.
