About Alexander
Alexander Cook grew up in Charlottetown, Prince Edward
Island playing in local groups and school bands while
studying with respected local musicians. He then relocated
to Halifax, Nova Scotia where he studied percussion at
Dalhousie University and earned his Bachelor of Music in
Performance, and a Master’s in Musicology.
Having studied with the region’s top players (including
Alan Dowling, Jim Faraday, Tom Roach, and D’Arcy
Gray), Alexander is now residing in Montreal, Quebec.
He performs jazz, hip hop, rock, and funk music with an array
of talented musicians. Alexander is a passionate teacher, dedicated to sharing his knowledge and experience with his students to help them reach their goals.
