About Cathy
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from McMaster University, a certificate diploma as an Educational Assistant and courses in Early Childhood Education from Mohawk College. I am experienced working with children from toddlers up to 10 years old.

I employ an individualized approach tailored to student's interests and strengths to improve on areas of weakness. I also use varied strategies such as phonetics, whole word sight learning and incorporate the senses in learning such as tactile-proprioceptive. I incorporate games and varied activities into my teaching. I am geared towards the beginner learner of reading and arithmetic with an emphasis on fostering a joy in learning.
