Clear instruction defines my approach as a neurodivergent-affirming educator with 11 years of experience. I recently sat with a student who finally untangled the complexity of phrasal verbs. My background includes a BM Vocal Performance and TEFL from UBC, which informs how I teach rhythm in language. Working with Grade 3 kids alongside adults adjusting to life in Canada keeps my perspective grounded.
I integrate specific focus on idioms, accent softening, and IELTS or TOEFL preparation. Writing and reading comprehension are also central to my methods. Getting to know the stories behind the learners is the best part of this work.
