About Lance
I have been a professional software developer since 1982, working with scientific and engineering software. This is highly oriented to mathematics such as the linear algebra used in computer graphics. You need this sort of mathematical awareness to work in the space industry, for example. It is interesting that if you're also into performing music you'll find that the precise logic that you use with math carries over directly into musical performance.

I am a retired math/computer science graduate with thirty years of experience in the trenches. Having had a great math teacher back in high schooI, I am well aware of how important a solid foundation in math is, as it has influenced my career profoundly.
Passing this knowledge on to an enthusiastic student shall have a similar effect on him or her. That shall be very rewarding for both student and tutor.
