About Carlos
Good guitar playing requires you to break your habits before you can build new ones. Most players think speed is the goal, but control is actually where the music lives. Before we begin, we perform a diagnostic skills check to identify where your foundations need reinforcement.
I use this data to build a roadmap for our time together. We cover chord transitions, ear training, and electric technique with a focus on efficiency. Sometimes we get distracted by gear, but the hands always remain the most important tool.
My experience over 13 years suggests that simple exercises yield the best results for adults. I treat music theory as a functional language rather than a dry academic subject.
