About Talia
I am an elementary school teacher, primarily Kindergarten, with experience in secondary. I hold two Master's Degree, one in Inclusive/Special education, and the other in educational leadership for international students. With 12 years of teaching experience in academically advanced schools, I am confident that I have the tools and materials needed to support your child.

I am well versed in phonics techniques and active education. I use the Orton-Gillingham approach, through the PRIDE reading program to build phonics foundations. I also teach phonemic awareness skills, which tend to be quite low in students who struggle with reading, regardless of the reason. As a kindergarten teacher, my ability to design games, songs, and hands-on strategies to help with learning phonics and reading skills is strong. I am an entertaining teacher and I know I can make learning fun!

Details
I charge 50.00/hour for a once/week session, however, students who struggle with reading often need more than one hour a week for a true intervention. Consequently, I also offer 45/hr for 2 days/week or 40/hr for 3-4 days per week. The most popular choice is 40/hr - 3 days /week.
