About Melissa
I am a mom of 4 beautiful children, all who love the sport of hockey. We spend a lot of our quality time in and out of arena's playing the sport they love. I enjoy reading, listening to music and cooking in my spare time. I love my job and my students are always top priority. I take their learning seriously and enjoy watching them grow and develop confidence in their learning.

I am a passionate instructor who has attained Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology in addition to my Bachelor of Education Degree. I have taught for over a decade, with experience ranging over various grades and subjects. My approach to teaching is to create a warm and inviting environment in which my students feel comfortable and safe enough to take risks, ask questions, and set goals. I create fun and engaging activities that make learning fun. I prioritize my students' needs and creates lessons that best suit their individual learning styles. I am compassionate, patient and flexible, and willing to change things up if needed! As a mom myself, I have empathy that cannot be taught in books.
