About Andrew
I am a passionate drum tutor with 4 years of teaching experience, helping students of all levels develop strong rhythm and confidence. I have successfully taught around 150 students and supported them in improving coordination, timing, and overall drumming technique. My tutoring approach is flexible and student-focused.
I first understand each student’s level, goals, and learning speed, then plan lessons accordingly. Students start with basic drumming fundamentals such as timing, grip, posture, and coordination, and slowly move toward advanced grooves, fills, and musical styles. I believe strong basics are essential for long-term growth. One of my unique strengths is my ability to teach rhythm in a simple and clear way.
I break down complex patterns into small, easy exercises and guide students step by step. I also help students build effective practice routines so they can improve consistently outside class. I create a positive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable and motivated. Whether learning drums as a hobby or for skill development, I support students with patience, clarity, and steady guidance.

My teaching methodology for drums is built around understanding students as individuals and helping them grow at their own pace. I adapt my teaching style based on each student’s learning preference. I combine all these methods so learning becomes clear and effective.
Flexibility is an important part of my lessons. I understand that students have different goals, schedules, and energy levels. I adjust lesson plans based on progress and comfort, ensuring steady improvement without pressure. Lessons are revised regularly to suit changing needs.
Collaboration creates a strong learning bond. I encourage students to share their doubts, ideas, and musical interests. Lessons become interactive sessions where we work together on rhythm patterns, coordination exercises, and practice strategies.
Positivity defines my teaching environment. I motivate students through encouragement and constructive feedback. Mistakes are treated as learning steps, helping students gain confidence and consistency.
Along with drum lessons, I also teach related subjects such as rhythm theory, tempo control, coordination development, basic music notation, ear training, and structured practice routines to support overall musical growth.
