About Tiku
I have been teaching private lessons since 2016, and I enjoy blending or completing some lessons with a blissful Thai massage (fully clothed.)
I recently completed an intensive 200 hour Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga teacher training in Rishikesh, India (Oct 1-28 2019). Before the adventure in India, I took the beginners Yoga teacher training course with YogaFit and a few personal training workshops from ACE (American council on exercise.)
I am also a certified Traditional Thai massage practitioner (Level 2) and have taken courses for Thai herbal compress/ball massage (with and without essential oils.)

I base my classes on who is present - providing modifications, preparatory movements for tense poses and alternate poses so that everyone is included and able to keep up with the class while being mindful of their present state (mental, physical and spiritual.)
That being said, I always start of with a few mantras that relate the goal of the class with pranamaya/breathing excises to help balance our minds and bodies before starting any yoga postures or movements .
For meditation - I blend gentle movements with guided breathing, and yogic mantras. (The use of essential oils and candles can be included in sessions if requested.)
