About Hannah
I am currently a physics teacher in a top performing girls' school, and I am passionate about physics! To my mind, it is the most interesting area of study which is why I gained my masters in Physics from the University of Bristol in 2017. I am responsible for departmental intervention, ensuring that every student receives the support they need to excel, and I have 5 years of experience in the classroom teaching to all abilities in all settings. To further my teaching knowledge, I graduated from an MEd in Transforming Practice at the University of Cambridge in 2021 and I continue to use the skills learnt from this to this day.

As a qualified and experienced physics teacher, my tutoring style is a mix of my pedagogical knowledge and genuine passion for science and maths. I believe that science and maths are open to everyone, so I work hard to engage all students using their own interests and a number of inquiry-based learning techniques. Retrieval practice is also a cornerstone of my tutoring approach, as I understand that regular review and self-assessment are keys to long-term retention.
I am also well versed in preparing students to sit examinations and use regular practice exam questions and past paper analysis to ensure that students become familiar with the format and types of questions they will encounter.
