About Ashley
I have a Master of Applied Science degree in Chemical Engineering which focused on polymer research. In my projects, I apply principles from chemistry, mathematics, and engineering to develop and characterize polymers for biomedical applications. Throughout my studies, I took an active role in undergraduate and high school student learning - from being a Teaching Assistant in many courses to providing private tutoring services.

I believe that learning is best supported by practice. I like to work through calculation-based problems with my students, walking through examples then allowing the student to gain practice and expertise by slowly ramping up the difficulty of questions. My favourite advice from one of my previous teachers is that you should not practice until you get the questions right, but you should practice until you cannot get the question wrong.
