About Eli
I have helped students for four years in STEM subjects by working as a private tutor, homework grader, and teaching assistant in college. Upon graduating college with a degree in engineering, I continued to enjoy helping students understand difficult topics in STEM. As an engineer, I intuitively connect my academic knowledge to real-world applications, taking the time to understand why and how things work. This is reflected in my teaching style, which puts an emphasis on learning the fundamentals of the topic combined with example-based problems that reinforce learning. I take care to help students fully understand concepts by asking guiding questions to help students solve problems without providing immediate assistance. Questions for me are encouraged.
I am happy to tutor students online or in-person provided the location is nearby. I work great with middle school, high school, and new college students looking for assistance with physics, mechanical engineering topics, or math topics up to calculus.
