About Kian

Being a mathematics tutor is something more than simply teaching content to pass an exam; as a mathematics tutor, I wish to pass not only my knowledge and techniques, but also my genuine passion for mathematics onto the next generation. Having a passion for mathematics is important as this will instill confidence and determination into the student when tackling any mathematics problem.

As someone about to begin a masters in Mathematics, I know how important being confident in mathematics is. I would love my students to not only be confident in their ability but also look forward to learning mathematics.

I achieved A* in both A-level and GCSE Maths and completed various mathematics modules with in my Mechatronics Engineering degree at University of Southampton.

About the lesson

I aim to make the learning process fun and interactive; this will encourage the student to enjoy mathematics as much as I do, naturally resulting in them wanting to do mathematics rather than viewing it merely as a requirement. As a tutor, it is part of my responsibility to target the topics and subject areas that the student finds particularly challenging whilst covering all necessary material. The key is finding the unique, optimum method of learning for each student and of course doing lots of practice which is essential to improving in mathematics!

I have just graduated with an Engineering degree and will begin my masters in Mathematics in September. The combination of my educational background and my experience in private tutoring and in Kumon, I believe I have the right qualities to make a difference to your child's mindset and grades.

I am happy to tutor Maths, Further maths and Physics up to GCSE.

Lessons are generally an hour long but I am happy to suit your requirements and I would prefer tutoring online but I happy to tutor in-person depending on location.
