My teaching style is student-centered and adaptive. I focus on identifying each student's learning style and tailoring explanations to suit their needs—whether that's visual, verbal, or hands-on learning. I break down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps and use real-life examples to make abstract ideas more relatable. I encourage active participation by asking guiding questions and providing plenty of practice, which builds both competence and confidence. I also regularly review previous topics to ensure long-term retention.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes, which allows enough time to cover new content, reinforce understanding, and work through practice problems.
I have completed 3 years of engineering in UCD. I’ve been tutoring maths for 1 year, working with students from various year groups and ability levels.
