Hi, I’m Camila, a Purdue engineering student with a strong academic background in math and physics. Through my coursework, I’ve developed a deep understanding of these subjects and the problem-solving skills needed to succeed in them. I understand that math and physics can feel overwhelming at times, so I focus on creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence. As a Purdue engineering student, I focus on making math and physics clear, approachable, and actually understandable—not just memorized. My teaching style is patient and interactive, where I break down complex concepts step-by-step and adapt explanations to match each student’s learning style.
A typical lesson starts with reviewing key concepts, followed by guided practice where we solve problems together. I then gradually shift toward independent work so students build confidence and problem-solving skills on their own. I also like to connect topics to real-world applications to make the material more engaging and meaningful.
What sets me apart is my ability to explain difficult topics in simple terms and create a supportive, judgment-free environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. I understand what it’s like to learn these subjects recently, so I know where students tend to struggle and how to help them overcome those challenges.
My lessons are ideal for middle school and high school students taking algebra, pre-calculus, calculus, or physics, especially those looking to improve their grades, prepare for exams, or strengthen their overall understanding.
