About Loïk
Hi! I'm currently studying electrical engineering at Polytechnique Montréal, after completing my CEGEP studies in Pure and Applied Sciences.
I've always enjoyed mathematics, physics, and programming, especially when I can apply them to real projects. Outside of school, I've worked on robotics, electronics, programming, and other engineering projects, which has given me a practical perspective on the subjects I teach.
I also have experience working with students through tutoring, mentoring, and robotics activities. I enjoy explaining difficult concepts in a simple way and finding different approaches when something doesn't click the first time.
Whether you're struggling with a course, preparing for an exam, or simply want to improve your understanding, I'll adapt to your needs and work with you at your own pace.
I'm bilingual in French and English, and lessons are available in either language.

I offer tutoring in mathematics, physics, French, and programming for students from primary school through secondary school and CEGEP.
My teaching approach focuses on understanding the reasoning behind each concept. I first identify what you already understand and where you are having difficulty. Then, we work through the concept step by step using clear explanations, examples, and progressively more challenging exercises. I adapt the pace and difficulty to your level.
A typical lesson starts with a quick review of the material and the difficulties you have encountered. We then focus on the concepts that need clarification, followed by guided exercises. I encourage you to solve problems yourself while I help you identify and correct mistakes. We finish by reviewing the key ideas and, when appropriate, setting exercises to practice independently.
For programming, I can help with both fundamental concepts and practical problem solving. This includes programming logic, algorithms, debugging, and languages such as Python, JavaScript, and other introductory programming environments.
What sets me apart is my technical and engineering background. I have experience with mathematics, physics, programming, robotics, electronics, and hands-on engineering projects. This lets me connect theoretical concepts to practical applications and explain technical subjects from different angles.
