Every language learner is different. Their background is a mix of many factors that influence how they learn English.
As a teacher, identifying and understanding my learners' and learner background is an important part of helping them to improve their English.
Every lesson needs a plan.
For each lesson, I draw up lesson plan aims, lesson plan stages and timings. I make sure I meet the needs of my learners (identifying and reacting to their needs, as they appear during my teaching)I set activities, give feedback, correct errors, build rapport, monitor, elicit, give feedback and much more.
After each lesson I reflect and evaluate if I achieved the lesson aims? … if not, why not? If I demonstratet improvement on weaker skills … if not, how can I do so in my next lesson? If I respond to the needs of my learners? … if not, what could I have done better?
I preplan and evaluate every minute of each lesson in order to be able to meet the needs of my learners to boost their confidence in being effective at using the English language
