About Ben
I have a Master's in Marine Science from the University of Miami, and a Bachelor's of Conservation and Marine Biology with minors in Chemistry and Creative Writing from Seattle University. In addition, I'm a SCUBA Instructor and have spent 5 years teaching science to elementary school kids. I know a little bit about a lot of things and enjoy learning new things and sharing what I have learned.

Learning should be fun and finding out how to make it fun is my motivation for teaching.
Discussing topics and asking questions is far more enjoyable for most people than being lectured at or reading from a dry textbook. Therefore, my lessons are conversational and focused around curiosity instead of hammering home a list of bullet points, addressing the 'Why?' of a topic instead of a just a sterilized list of facts.
