English classes for immigrants learning second language and individuals willing to learn English on a better level in Calgary

Methodology

Duration : 1 month - Price : $20.00 - Place : Calgary (T2Y 4H3)I am a University student in Calgary who is willing to give private or group lessons to immigrants wanting to learn English and individuals willing to improve or better their language. I will be using a "task-based language learning" method which focuses on the completion of a task which in itself is interesting to the learners. Learners use the language they already have to complete the task and there is little correction of errors. Everyday at the end of each lesson and beginning of a new one the next day, I will be using a method called "The Silent Way" where my aim is to say as little as possible so that the learner can be in control of what he wants to say in English. It can be a feedback about how they think this class went, what they would like to focus more on, or a simple "how your day was" response:) I approach my students with flexibility on the assignments given and understand that some may not be completed on time.
