As a student myself, I utilize teaching methods that I have personally found effective in a classroom setting, along with methods that my friends have found effective. I find that expanding the learning beyond the specific content focussed on so the student can make connections really help overall understanding. When it comes to writing, I lead rather than complete everything myself. I'm there to help, not dictate, so I use the student's vision for the work and help them to create work that they're proud of in an organized, efficient way. My teaching methods are heavily based on student-tutor communication and respect.
Hello! My name is Rachel and I am currently finishing off my grade 12 year. English is one of my best subjects and I have a passion for writing and helping other people out. I think it is beneficial for a high school student (or elementary) to be able to work with another, more experienced student, as relating to similar and relevant circumstances is a huge asset when working with another person. My average is around 90% currently and I am in the process of looking into university options!

Turner Fenton Secondary School
SEPTEMBER 2017 - PRESENT, Brampton
I am currently a Grade 12 student at Turner Fenton Secondary School
I made Honour Roll during both semesters of my grade 9, 10, and 11 years, which means I have an above 80% average.
My interests vary from my love for music, writing, and playing, to my passion for helping and assisting people.
I love to write stories and music outside of school and do this during any spare time I may have.
I also have an interest in helping people. Whether it’s helping them long-term or even just making their day better, I am very passionate about working with and for everyone.
I enjoy problem-solving, and outside of school I watch and write problems that I can try and solve.
This comes in many different forms as I enjoy working my brain as much as possible. For example, when I’m writing stories I exercise my critical thinking skills to help plot-wise.
