About William

Hello! My name is William, and I'm an English Major at the University of Guelph. I'm extremely passionate about reading and writing, so I spend most of my free time writing stories. I even had a short story published in an anthology at the Guelph Public Library as a teen! Being able to help gift the beautiful tool of language is extraordinarily gratifying. I understand that everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses (academically and beyond), so to use my strength as a method of support for you gives me a chance to give back for those who lend me their strengths!

About the lesson

Lessons are fitted to your needs, focusing on a single trouble-area each lesson. I look to provide you with multiple learning methods, such as giving textual examples for better understanding, as well as more hands-on learning. A typical lesson might start with a single concept or definition backed up with examples, and then proceed to practicing a related skill with the appropriate exercises. The exercises will always start relatively simple and naturally progress with your readiness. Whether it's reading or writing, grammar or linguistics, I will always have a variety of practice work to give you the best possible learning experience. Of course, questions are always encouraged, so don't be shy! I'd love to help anyone in Elementary or High School with English.
