About Yvonne

Hi! My name is Yvonne, and I’m passionate about languages and helping others feel confident when learning English.

I have always studied languages and developed a strong interest in how they work and how people communicate. I hold an OIB (Option Internationale du Baccalauréat) Cambridge University certificate, and I am fluent in English at a level comparable to a native speaker.

My passion for languages has continued into university, where I am currently studying Linguistics at Université Laval. This background gives me a deeper understanding of language, pronunciation, grammar, and communication. It also allows me to help students who would like to improve their accent and pronunciation, in addition to their general English skills.

As a tutor, I am patient, attentive, and adaptable. I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and progressing at their own pace. Whether you are learning English for school, work, travel, or simply to become more confident speaking, I would be happy to help you reach your goals!

About the lesson

My goal as an English tutor is to make learning English feel practical, engaging, and adapted to each student’s needs. I believe that everyone learns differently, so I adapt my teaching methods to the student’s level, goals, and learning style.

A typical lesson combines conversation, vocabulary, grammar, and practical exercises. I like to use real-life situations, discussions, interactive activities, and personalized examples to help students understand and actually use what they learn.

What sets me apart is my patience, adaptability, and ability to create a comfortable environment where students can make mistakes without feeling judged. I focus not only on improving English skills, but also on building confidence when speaking and communicating.

My lessons are suitable for beginners to advanced learners, whether they want to improve their English for school, work, travel, everyday communication, or simply become more comfortable speaking the language.
