About Ashmeet
Hello! I’m Ashmeet, a first-year student at the University of Manitoba, aspiring to build a career in nursing. I’m passionate about helping others learn and grow, both in academics and in confidence. I have over one and a half years of tutoring experience, first as a Peer Educator at the International College of Manitoba, where I supported students in subjects like biology, math, and English, and currently as a tutor with Nimbus, continuing to help students strengthen their understanding and academic performance. My academic background and passion allows me to teach French up to high school. I focus on making lessons engaging, clear, and personalized — ensuring that each student feels comfortable and motivated to learn. What sets me apart as a tutor is my patience, enthusiasm, and adaptable teaching style. I take time to understand how each student learns best and tailor my lessons to match their individual pace and goals. I strive to make learning enjoyable and rewarding. My goal is to inspire confidence, encourage curiosity, and celebrate progress — helping every student discover their potential and take pride in their achievements.

Hi! I’m Ashmeet, a passionate science student who loves making learning enjoyable and easy to understand. My teaching approach focuses on clarity, confidence, and connection — I aim to help students truly grasp concepts instead of just memorizing them.
In my lessons, I start by identifying each student’s strengths, challenges, and learning style. A typical session begins with a quick recap of previous topics, followed by step-by-step explanations of new material using real-life examples, visuals, and practice exercises. I end each lesson with a short review or quiz to reinforce understanding.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my patience, adaptability, and enthusiasm. I believe every student learns differently, so I customize my lessons to match their pace and interests with conversational activities.
My goal is to help students not just do well in school but also enjoy the learning process and feel proud of their progress.
