About Erin

I am currently studying Spanish and Politics at Glasgow University. This coming September I will be teaching English in the Valencia region of Spain- something I am extremely excited about!
My love for the Spanish language was ignited through my GCSE teacher who taught with passion and introduced me to the amazing culture of Spain. This endearment for language was further fuelled through travelling as I have been lucky enough to visit Spanish speaking countries where I could put my practise in to play. I am particularly interested in the different regional dialects of Spain and Ecuador.
Over the years I have also found that I enjoy coaching and teaching and I am grateful to have had many opportunities to do so.
Also, I enjoy seeing my friends, getting involved in sports and the Portuguese society. After growing up in England and now living in Scotland, I am taking full advantage of Scottish culture- including attempting to dance at ceilidhs!
Music is another one of my favourite things and I love going to concerts. Listening to Spanish music is good practise too!

About the lesson

As a undergraduate student myself I can appreciate that lessons must be engaging, fun and in an environment in which the student feels comfortable to communicate any doubts and take part without judgement. Each student learns differently and it is my job to tailor the classes to each individual. Lessons will typically be an hour and are for students doing their A-levels and below. I have lots of experience in working with children including taking PE classes for students 14-16, swimming coaching for ages 8-18 and assisting in Spanish classes. As Spanish is such an immersive subject, the classes will involve a mix of speaking, listening, reading and conversational skills in the forms of varied exercises that I am hoping the students will be excited to get involved with. However, if there is a particular area that a student lacks confidence in, I will take that into consideration when structuring classes.
